200 Club – Post Regatta Membership
This has been a great year for the 200 Club in which we have grown from 125 members this time last year to 146 members this year. We have paid out £1200 in prize money at time of writing but have still managed to grow the account. We have had four first-prize winners, six-second prize winners and six third-prize winners.
The fund, grown over several years, has been central to funding the new Toppers and replacing various items on the array of club boats, which are available to us all; the Ladies that Launch, all SYC members for use during the week and weekends, to support the various RYA courses, for racing, and our cadets – thank you all for your support.
We remain ambitious to grow the club further and your ongoing support is invaluable and so, for the second half of the season (post-regatta) we are offering membership of the 200 club at half price to £15. If you would like to increase your chances of winning as we enter the autumn then please sign up online for another number.
Our push to go ‘online’ with the membership seems to be working with only a handful paying by cash or cheque. We will continue to take all forms of payment but an annual Standing Order to cover from 31 March 2018 to 31 March 2019 would be the most convenient and simplify the accounting. I would ask that all your 200 Club membership continues to be done online via an annual standing order on or before 31 March for the forthcoming year. Please contact the club for bank details.
