The Cruiser Section was created 30 years ago to encourage Club events designed for cruising boats - whether sail or motor. We hold a series of rallies where boats gather in another harbour - usually involving 15-20 mile coastal passages - and have a meal at the local Yacht Club.

Typically we hold four of these shorter rallies and one longer run, usually to the Channel Isles, per year. Some of the Cruiser Section boats regularly go much further afield and there is a Club trophy for the log showing the longest cruise in one season.

We also hold a series of Cruiser races - these are short races, for sailing cruisers, run from Salcombe and normally held on a Sunday. There is a series of 9 of these races programmed for this season and the winner of the series is awarded a trophy at the annual prize giving in the autumn.
