Salcombe Festival Bang & Go Back Race



Supporting the Salcombe Festival, Salcombe Yacht Club provide the facilities for the Bang and Go Back Race on Saturday afternoon.

This 'race' allows helmsmen to show off their prowess in not only seamanship by keeping their craft at very slow speed and under control, but also their capability to anticipate when the gun will go off to tell them to reverse direction. The winner is the boat closest to the line at the last gun.
