Ragtime is a wooden modified Canterbury Tales Merlin Rocket, built by Alan Jackson in 1991. She is eligible for the MROA Classic Series and has recently competed at Salcombe Merlin Week.

She is an attractive and well-equipped older wooden Merlin which, in the right hands, has the potential to be a very competitive Classic fleet entrant. She is ready to sail, although the hull would benefit from repainting to bring her cosmetic appearance back to its best.

The varnished woodwork is in good condition for its age and has recently been revarnished. It is not perfect or concours, as would be expected of an actively sailed 35-year-old wooden racing dinghy. There are some minor cosmetic marks to the paintwork and a repaired area on the starboard garboard. The repair is sound and the cosmetic condition is reflected in the asking price.

She is only for sale because I have decided to move into a singlehanded class. My own results did not reflect the boats potential, and a more experienced Merlin team should be able to get considerably more from her.
