Of the one hundred and four entrants* to the Solo Nationals at Hayling Island, five were from Salcombe Yacht Club.     Salcombe Yacht Club Summer Series - Race 7 - 21 July 2018

    A gentle breeze out of the South enticed forty three boats to participate in race 7 of the Salcombe Yacht Club Summer Series on a glorious summer day.  Race Officer Mike Whitehouse set a “round the creeks” course, making the most of the neap high tide.     With Sharp’s Doom Bar Merlin Rocket Week deemed a great success, club racing resumed at Salcombe Yacht Club last Saturday.     The final day brought further wall to wall sunshine with a light southerly sea breeze cell in the harbour.  First of the title contenders to line up were Mike and Jane Calvert and Si Blake/Phil Dalby.
