Dinghy Racing

524975_1200x

Dinghy Sailing in Salcombe never fails to challenge each sailor to keep going until the finishing bell – as places can often change, even in the home straight!

We enjoy a high standard of racing with good competition to be had throughout the fleets.

The Club Racing is divided into five main series with Open Meetings and Pursuit races spread throughout the Calendar.

The Home Fleets are : Salcombe Yawl, Solo, National 12, Merlin and RS400

These fleets all have their own Open Meeting during the year and enjoy good attendance numbers racing in the Summer Regatta.

We have an ever expanding Handicap Fleet with more modern design boats like the RS400, Aero's and Feva's bringing new style to Salcombe's racing scene. It is however good to see that we continue to have the more established classes racing successfully too.

The Cadet Fleet is buoyant and the racers are introduced to Club Racing by a short Race at the start of the Saturday Series. Teras, Toppers, Qubas, Fevas and Visions.
