Simon Evans

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Simon Evans, after a long illness bravely fought. Simon & Caroline have been active members of the cruiser section, with their yacht Nita, and frequent visitors to the bar throughout the year.

Simon was Lifeboat Operations Manager for the RNLI, giving his time generously to this deserving cause. During his time in charge of our lifeboat station he organised a fitting tribute to those who lost their lives in the lifeboat disaster.

He will be sorely missed by many SYC members & the lifeboat crew.
