Cruiser Commissioning Supper 2024

With boats being launched from Batson dump to clear the decks for the Easter parking rush, 44 SYC Cruiser members celebrated the start of the new season with customary bonhomie at the Yacht Club. Salty Sailors Adam and Nicky delivered another fabulous meal and the front of house staff, led by Mike White, provided faultless service. 

Tales of maintenance and upgrades were exchanged along with hopes and ambitions for the coming season. Rear Commodore Graham Nurser welcomed one and all and provided an overview of the cruising delights available this season.. Rallymasters Martin Smout and Johnny Hearth provided more detail on the first two rallies: to Plymouth and Guernsey, whilst Martin also talked about the summer cruise to the Channel Islands and France.
