SYC Members Shine at the Lark Nationals

Salcombe Yacht Club was well represented at this years Musto Lark National Championships in Fowey, with Tim Fells and Ollie Meadowcroft both making their mark in a highly competitive fleet of more than 40 boats.

Three-time Lark National Champion Tim Fells, sailing with Jerry Eplett, demonstrated his trademark consistency and experience throughout the regatta. After a solid opening day, Tim featured regularly in the top ten, including a strong performance in the third race where the increasing breeze suited the heavier crews. Although the championship proved challenging, Tims pace and tactical racing ensured the Salcombe colours were prominent throughout the week.

Meanwhile, Ollie Meadowcroft, sailing with Becky Caiger, enjoyed a sensational championship. New to the Lark class but already a proven performer in other dinghy classes, Ollie dominated the opening day with two race wins and a second place to lead the championship overnight. His impressive speed and consistency established him as one of the events standout sailors and confirmed his arrival as one of the classs rising stars.
