Three Creeks Race

Saturday saw the annual Three Creeks Race take to the water, with a strong turnout across the Yawl, Fast Handicap and Short Handicap fleets.

In the Yawl Handicap, 14 boats competed in the challenging three-creeks course, with Robin Hodges and Robert Smith taking the honours in Y179 Pas Encore. Will and Mandy Henderson followed closely in Y168 Storm, with John Burn and Ross Borne in Y170 Guillemot completing the podium.

The Fast Handicap saw 17 boats take on the course, with a dominant performance from Tim Fells in his Solo, finishing more than two minutes ahead of Simon Dobson, also sailing a Solo. Tim Law took third, while Frances Gifford and Frankie Burn put in an excellent performance to finish fourth overall in their Merlin Rocket.

In the Short-Race Handicap, Ivy Hart once again showed her pace, taking the win in her ILCA 4, ahead of Suzy Andrews. Jane Walker and Janet Hawkins completed the four-boat fleet.
