Fast H’cap Results Mon am The SYC Race Team have resolved the errors of publishing the results of Monday am Races. Our records have been corroborated and verified with other witnesses and competing sailors. Thank you for your patience.

Batson launching Wednesday 7th pm Please launch early for your afternoon races tomorrow as there may be some delays caused by the necessary refuelling of the Fuel Barge at Batson at around 14.00. We do not want you to miss your starts and the Harbour Authority have given us this useful ‘heads up’.

Medium Handicap & Enterprise Fleets Please note you have the same start times but are competing for prizes in two separate fleets.

Junior Handicap Adults sailing in the Junior H’cap with their children know they are not competing for prizes and their results will be extracted on Fridays. The Blinkhorn and Waterhouse Cup will take place on Wednesday 8th at 17.30 weather permitting. This is a handicap where u18 sail in not their normal boat.

Yawl Gold This charming fleet is to encourage inexperienced Yawl Sailors develop larger yawl fleet racing skills. Once someone starts to win trophies they naturally move up to the afternoon fleets. The Gold Fleet is open to any Yawl sailor, and is essentially self-selecting.  However, NoR para 3.4 states; 3.4  Salcombe Yawls-a.  Allocation to appropriate fleets is the responsibility of the Salcombe Yawl Owners Association.  All present Gold Fleet sailors are therefore permitted and will be timed to reflect the normal Red & Blue handicaps.

Therefore Monday’s Race Winner was Kestral 1589. The Cup will be correctly presented later this week.

In addition all Merlin’s will be sailing off a PY 980 as is normal for Opens and Regatta.

We apologise for the confusion but would ask you to continue to note who finishes ahead and behind as a useful backup if needed to a busy race team. We are extremely grateful to all our volunteers running this week for their generous time and efforts.

Traditionally Solos, Twelves and Enterprises but if you have other that want to sail please contact Jayne in the office asap.
