Ramble - North Sands/Collaton

North Sands/ Collaton ramble.

Meet for a 1030 departure at North Sands Car Park. 

The walk will take about 2 hours. 

We start on the S side of the valley, cross the stream at Hanger Mill, then up the path on the N side of the valley below Beadon Park past Motherhill Farm toward Batson Cross.  Then across the top of the fields, with views across the valley, towards Maryknowle Farm and thence via quiet lanes and footpaths to Collaton Cross.  A green lane between Higher and Lower Collaton then leads onto a short section of the Malborough/Moult road which we leave at Collaton Down Plantation to reach a great viewpoint: down the valley across the estuary to Rickham Common.  Then back along the S side of the valley again along Martins Way, through Collaton Wood to Moult Farm and down the road back to North Sands.
