SYC Ramble followed by lunch at the club
Chris Mills will be leading this Ramble
Starting at Avon Mill, a 7km walk up the west bank and down the east bank of the Avon. There is one steep ascent at the start, up the road behind the Mill. This is followed by a gentle descent through a field of lambs and beside a stream to join the path along the river. The path is fairly flat from here but a bit irregular in places especially beside the old leat so a pole is a good idea. Hopefully the bluebells will be out soon.
Avon Mill cafe is open from 0915 if anyone wants to start with coffee or breakfast. The walk should take a little over two hours so a prompt 1015 start should allow time for people to return to the club for lunch.
