RYA VHF Course
RYA Marine Radio SRC Course and Exam
A course and exam for anyone who owns a fixed or handheld marine VHF radio. A radio is an important piece of safety equipment on board and it is vital to understand the correct procedures. The Short Range Certificate is the minimum qualification required by law to control the operation of VHF and VHF Digital Selective Calling (DSC) equipment on any British flagged vessel voluntarily fitted with a radio either fixed or hand held.
6 candidates max on the course with 3 radios.
Friday 24th January 9am to 5pm, exam 5pm to 7pm
Deadline for course application is January 12th 2025. Places are limited.
£95 per person.
Non members will need to join the club or become a 2 week temporary member for £25 per person.
The exam at the end of the course costs £70 and is payable direct to the RYA. More details will be given on joining.
Please bring pens, pack lunch or money and one passport sized photo.
