Rambles 2020
Published 12:19 on 9 Sep 2020
For the first ramble of the season we were joined by six other members and three dogs for a scenic walk around the Charletons. Following routes we had discovered during lockdown we headed inland from Springfield along green lanes to Bowcombe, following the estuary to what is cited as one of the ten best views in Devon, although unfortunately the tide was out! Our route then took us up to West Charleton Beacon before dropping down to the foreshore and heading towards Frogmore. On returning to Springfield farm shop several took the opportunity to purchase some local produce.
We look forward to the next ramble on 9th October to East Prawle and Lannacombe. Roger Odell has kindly offered to lead us. This time it will be a 10.45am start.
In addition to the Friday rambles planned this year we are introducing some Sunday walks with the aim of arriving back at the club for the Sunday roast.
Dates currently diaried are listed below. As you can see, we would welcome more volunteers. Please let us know if you would like to lead a walk. We aim for approx. 5 miles with Sunday ones probably a little shorter.
