Mid-week Series 2 - Race 3

It was great to see some of the Ladies that Launch out on Wednesday evening to join in with the mid-week club racing. 

Beautiful sunshine, a gentle breeze and a neap tide provided some fantastic conditions for the sailors.

Rob and Mandy Henderson in the RS200 were quick to escape and rounded Blackstone first, and extended their lead on the down wind leg to X.

Unfortunately, in typical Wednesday evening fashion, the breeze dropped and progress on lap 2 was slow. 

Rob and Mandy took the victory, making it  two in a row for this formidable paring. With OOD points for the first race they comfortably sit top of the table.

Andy and Elizabeth Savell were the only Yawl to venture out and were rewarded with 2nd place, Andrew and Sheila Squire were 3rd, finishing off the podium in the Albacore.
